Issue: Error in applying the OpManager 7.0 license over opmanager 6.0 or the version upgraded from 6.0
Reason: License issued for OpManager 7.0 fresh installation will not work when you apply the license in OpManager 6 or when you upgrade from OpManager 6.0 version to 7.0
Resolution: This nissue is encountered when you use OpManager 6.0 and subsequently apply the new license for OpManager 7.0. Follow these steps to move the database to the new fresh installation of OpManager 7.0 exe\\bin
1. Shut down OpManager. (If OpManager is running as a service, stop the service from Control Panel > Services window)
2. Follow the steps in the forum post below to upgrade your version to OpManager 7 (7010 build).
3. Once the upgrade is complete, start OpManager Server.
4. Shut Down OpManager.
5. Take the backup of these folders /OpManager/mysql/data /OpManager/conf/ /OpManager/users
6. If you are using MSSQL, take a backup of the database, by running the BackupDB.bat file under \\OpManager\\bin\\backup folder. Once the backup is over, a directory backup is created in OpManager Home directory and the backup file with .data' extension is placed in this directory. The name of the backup file contains the date and time at which backup is taken. Example: BackUp_FEB28_2005_15_51.data. Also take a copy of \OpManager\conf and \OpManager\users folder.
9. Move the folders back to the new installation in the same location if it is for MySQL.
10. If it is for MSSQL, replace the backed up folders and restore the backed up data by executing RestoreDB.bat/sh from OpManager Home /bin/backup> directory with the backup file name as argument. See example below:
